AAI partners with Bharat Taxi to introduce regulated and passenger-friendly cab services across select Indian airports.

In a move aimed at enhancing airport surface transport, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Bharat Taxi to introduce regulated and passenger-friendly cab services across select airports.

The initiative is designed to streamline ground transportation, ensure transparent fare structures, and improve overall commuter experience at airports managed by AAI.

Structured and transparent taxi operations

Under the agreement, Bharat Taxi will operate in a regulated framework within airport premises. The model is expected to focus on standardized pricing, authorized vehicle deployment and defined service protocols, reducing ambiguity for arriving passengers.

Such regulation is likely to curb overcharging concerns while improving accountability and operational discipline in airport taxi services.

Enhancing passenger convenience

Airport mobility is a crucial touchpoint in a traveller’s journey. With increasing domestic and international passenger traffic, structured cab services can significantly improve the last leg of airport connectivity.

The partnership aims to ensure ease of booking, predictable fares and safe travel options for passengers immediately upon arrival.

Supporting organised mobility growth

For drivers, regulated airport operations can provide consistent demand and improved visibility. The move also aligns with broader efforts to formalize segments of the urban mobility ecosystem through digital and compliance-backed models.

Strengthening airport infrastructure ecosystem

As airport infrastructure continues to expand across India, surface connectivity remains a key component of overall passenger satisfaction. Integrating structured cab services within airport operations reflects a coordinated approach toward seamless travel experiences.

The MoU marks a step toward strengthening organized taxi services in airport ecosystems, reinforcing transparency, convenience and efficiency in passenger transport.
