Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan, Jai Anusandhan: Modi’s New Addition to Shastriji’s Slogan

  • Date : 15 August, 2022

On the occasion of India’s 76th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the capabilities of small farmers, small industrialists, and small traders as well as their contribution to India's development over the years.

"Remember the mantra given by Lal Bahadur Shastri, the former prime minister of India: "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan." Later, Atal Bihari Vajpayee linked it by saying the phrase "Jai Vigyan." However, Jai Anusandhan is now a requirement for the Amrit Kaal. PM chanted, "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyan, and Jai Anusandhan."

From the ramparts of Red Fort, while addressing the nation PM Modi said, “Natural farming will offer India new strength, and the growth of green jobs has opened up numerous employment chances.”

The Prime Minister also urged Indians to work towards making India a self-reliant nation. Every person, every government, and every social unit now bears responsibility for it, he said.

This is not just a government objective or policy for a self-sufficient India. The prime minister emphasized the need to instill an attitude of "servitude" and added, "This is a mass movement of the society that we have to promote.

The greatest asset of any nation is its aspirational society. Every person in the nation wishes for both change and change to come. He continued, "They want to see the change right before their eyes.”

PM Modi highlighted the importance of treating boys and girls equally as India celebrated the 75th anniversary of the end of British colonial rule in 1947. He also called for respecting women, he stated: "Women in this country excel in science and education. India's women are progressing with a new capability and confidence in both sports and the military. I expect that women will make a significant contribution over the next 25 years and considerably more over the next 75 years."

Further Modi also added, "We frequently make insulting remarks about women. In order to realize the goals of the country, women must be respected. It's crucial that we uphold women's dignity in both our speech and behavior".
