    An Inspiration for Hundred Others

    Working for more than a decade now, Ganesh Nanote has been recognized in the agriculture industry and has won an award recently, called “Sheti Sanman Puraskar” by Tukadoji Maharaj Foundation in 2015. He has been bestowed with several more awards namely, “Lokmat Krishiratna Puraskar” in 2013, “Utkrust Shetkari” (Atma Maharashtra Government) in 2014, “Krishi Deepstambha Award” (Rotary Club) in 2014, “Sheti Gaurav Puraskar” (Jagar Tv Channel) in 2014, “Krishi Sanman Puraskar” (Agroworld Published) in 2014 and Jamshetji Tata National Virtual Academy Fellowship (Swaminathan Foundation Chennai)  in 2015.

    An aspiring graduate in B.Com, Ganesh Nanote ended up being one of the most successful farmers in Maharashtra. While he was in to his graduation, he lost his father, being the responsible child of the family he had to drop his graduation mid way and continue farming that his father had left for him. He produces cotton in his field.
     
    Ganesh Nanote is a farmer  from  Akola. Akola is a city in Akola district in Vidarbha region in the state of Maharashtra in central India. While producing cotton in the field, his major concern was to maintain the quality of the soil even if the quantity of the crop gets affected. He has been producing cotton for 20 to 25 years now and that too on the same field without affecting the quality of the soil. Keeping in mind the environmental concerns, he uses good and organic fertilizers which keep the soil as well as the environment safe.

    Mr Nanote keeps himself highly equipped with the technologies that he uses in his field “I favour the usage of technologies in field, I want the technologies used for farming in the ancient times by rishi muni’s and also future technologies to keep the quality of the soil evergreen and to increase the average crop grown respectively” he said showing his passion and keenness towards the input of technologies in growing crops. He uses Bt cotton in his fields. 
     
    His average profit is of Rs40,000 every year through cotton farming only. Initially started with 7 acres of field Ganesh has now grew his land to 50 acres to produce  cotton. With the improvement in the business, he has also experienced improvement in his lifestyle. Technology freak Ganesh is not only passionate about using technologies in field but also at home. Undergraduate he, has now learned computer and possesses a laptop. Moving side by side with the growing technologies he is active on every social media platform such as facebook, twitter, LinkedIn, etc and regularly shares his upgradations and achievements there.
     
    He owns an independent house and is a father of four children, being three daughters and one son. First daughter has successfully done B.Com, second daughter  is currently doing B.A in music, the third one is in class 11th and his son who is 12 years old studies in a convent school near his house in class 6th.
     
    People like ganesh set an example to the people who leave their aspirations mid way due to the miss happenings in their lives and remain unsuccessful blaming their fortunes forever.
