Visakhapatnam: Vizianagaram district administration has called for better cooperation between the revenue, banking and agriculture sectors in the district to identify beneficiaries of the Rythu Bharosa scheme.
The district administration has already conducted a special grievance redressal drive in all mandal headquarters of the district. During the drive, three counters were put up to receive petitions from farmers.
District revenue officer (DRO) Jallepalli Venkata Rao said, “all farmers cultivating land will be given the benefits.”
Counters were set up by the panchayati raj department as well as the revenue and agriculture departments. Banks also set up dedicated counters to deal with NPCI (National Payment Corporation of India) and Aadhaar link issues.
Officials of the district administration said that the administration will ensure that all genuine beneficiaries receive the benefits under the Rythu Bharosa scheme by November 15.
Mogali Asha Devi, joint director, agriculture said, “there are several problems. One of them is linking Aadhaar with the NPCI website. Another is the identification of heirs in case of death in the family. There’s also the problem of faulty Aadhaar seeding in I-B records. These problems have been identified are being rectified.”
Sources in the revenue department informed that payments have been made to nearly 2,06,000 families under the Rythu Bharosa scheme.
They further informed that 66,500 more families have been identified.
