    Agri Department organises awareness camp

     To educate the farming community about the impact of burning paddy and wheat straw under the mission ‘Tandarust Punjab’, a village-level farmer awareness camp was organised by the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare at Sanipur village here on Wednesday.


    Dr Prabhu Nath, Agriculture Extension Officer, highlighted how various types of agricultural machinery could be used for paddy straw management. 

    Dr Navjot Kaur, Agricultural Development Officer, made farmers aware of protection of crops from various pests, including rice leaf folder, sheath blight and rice hispa.
