As we all know that Madhya Pradesh is blessed with a bio-diversity, which is advantageous in production of various types of crops. Its Agricultural land is considered as the most fertile land all over Asia. Madhya Pradesh is also now being considered as an ideal destination for Investments as opportunities have opened up for investments in the "Agriculture Export Zones" as well as in the "Food Parks". These advantages give the State an extra edge in enhancing the quality and quantity of Agricultural Output.

Given the vast potential of growth in this sector, CII organized the 1st edition of Krishi Vikas in 2009.  The exhibition helped farmers to understand the latest techniques and gain more knowledge in the field of agricultural development and helped them in improving the quality of the agricultural produce.  Since then, under the initiative to promote the sector and spread awareness among all stakeholders KRISHI VIKAS became a flagship event in Madhya Pradesh, attracting huge number of farmers from across Madhya Pradesh State.
